with respect;

in history class we learned about the Islam religion.
While we were doing our classwork, my teacher played a recording of a muslim man singing a prayer to Allah.
Most people were laughing and making fun of it, and my teacher joined along. I think that her joining along with the teasing is encouraging disrespect to the religion. I mean, if I were a Muslim sitting in that class, I would definately be offended. I wouldn't want someone making fun of my religion, you know. I know Islam is not a common religion here, but is it really necessary to make fun of it just because it's different and unusual ?
Also, my history teacher always stresses the differences in the other cultures we learn about.for example : A few weeks ago we learned about the civilization of Ancient China. We learned that people increased their social status by cutting off a lot of peoples heads off during war. Harsh punishments for breaking the law included beheading. My teacher said that they were crazy people. At the end of the lesson my teacher asked the class to tell her one thing they learned about the civlilization of Ancient China; one kid said that the Chinese were crazy people for cutting off people's heads. She set the impression that the Chinese were crazy. I mean, yeah their ways of punishments were definately harsh, but it doesn't make them crazy. It was THEIR way of punishing people, increasing their social status. Better respect it right? If I was a teacher, I would teach my students to respect all the different cultures and everything that's different from you. One day she asked us what we had for breakfast and I said pizza. She said that's weird, who eats pizza for breakfast? WELL I DO, NIGGA. Hahaha anyways, why don't you respect the fact that I have dinner for breakfast everyday. EMBRACE the difference in everything. Be like okay you're different, that's good, difference is good. I mean, i like ... difference .. Wow, i'm probably rambling on, but it bugs me when things are too similar.

1. Matching. It's hard to match, I dont like it. So you got your purple shirt with a design that includes the color teal, yellow, pink and whatever. Then you got your teal, yellow, AND pink bracelets, and pink earrings, and your shoes with the same colors. Damn, that's too hard for me to do. I respect the people who dress like that, I think they're cool cause they put a lot of effort into matching. Wait, this has nothing to do with similarity.

2. I love how i'm not exactly similar with ANY of my friends.
-Theresa: We're DIFFERENT, but similar somehow.
Shes organized, I am not, she studies a lot, I don't, I'm more social and outgoing i guess, she's more shy.
-Kirby: He's outgoing, easy to talk to , starts conversation easily, louder, GREAT sense of humor. I am not that outgoing, im not that easy to talk to because i find it hard to start conversation. Im quiet sometimes, i am not funny.
-Mandy: I think we're the most alike but we have some differences, i like eye make up more and she likes lips, we have different styles in dressing, but we always borrow each others clothes. SHe has a lot more life experience than i although she's younger.
-Sami: Oh right, I think she has a lot more common in Kirby than me when it comes to interests, but when it comes to experiences (SOME) we're similar, but besides that we're pretty much different. oh yeah we listen to the same music. we dress way differently though.

I'm really glad Kirby and I aren't the same, it would be completely horrible to date MYSELF, know what i mean?
You know how people call their best friends "sisters" because of how much they have in common? My sister and I do have things in common, a lot, but i mean it would suck if she was EXACTLY like me. We sorta have the same taste in fashion, we sorta listen to the same music, we look the same cause we have common genetic coding, I don't know how to explain, haha. Having a sister who would be exactly like me would be like having a clone. Boring and scary!

My parents are the TOTAL polar opposite from each other, but somehow they ended up falling in love. WHen they eat soup, my mom eats the broth then eats the stuff, my dad eats the stuff then the broth. My dad is loud and outgoing, my mom is shy in quiet.

I could keep going, but I'm getting a bit tired of this subject.
