i feel like i wasted my whole weekend.
i missed the Strawberry Festival, Ashley Bishop's birthday, and Dean's Birthday =[
Instead i went with my family to visit our family friends in Waldorf, Maryland. Our family friend, Uncle Achiles, bought a three story home. the house was still very new so there wasnt ANY furniture at all except for four beds.
we ate dinner on the island in the kitchen, standing since there were no chairs.
on the first floor was the big kitchen and living room, family room dining room, second floor had four bedrooms including the master bedroom and a bathroom, the third floor had a loft and a bathroom and bedroom. i spent most of the time in the empty loft.
uncle achiles brothers [uncle marc and uncle ulysses] were there too. uncle marc brought hihs family [auntie elvie, mark, and isa]. i had to share a room with isa, erin, and my mom.
saturday we didnt do anything. the adults went out and went shopping and the kids just sat at home.
no internet no tv so i jsut sat in one of the empty rooms except for a mattress and read.
yesterday i went to washington dc with uncle ulysses and his wife, uncle achiles, mom, isa, and erin. we saw the motorcyclists parade to the arlington memorial and visit their relatives graves, who were prisoners of war. we visited the washington memorial, walked through the national mall, took pictures at the lincoln memorial, and went to the smithsonian museum. people from the army put on a show at the lincoln memorial, it was a concert.
we walked 5 miles+ and my legs and ankles and knees hurt so bad after that because i wasn't used to walking so much in one day, and i just wore my ankle strap sandals which arent really walking shoes.
today we left around 8 got here around 11 but we went to NEX and that took a while and we ate at the restaurant at founder's inn.

i'm really pissed though because i was looking through all my friend's photos and of course i got jealous because i COULD HAVE BEEN THERE if i wasn't in maryland.
Oh well, i hope we don't go anywhere next memorial's day weekend =[
