Children's liturgy

Instead of staying for the readings, Gospel, and Homily, I was an assistant for Children's Liturgy today! In Children's Liturgy, we try to teach preschoolers-1st graders the Gospel and help them try to understand it. I read the kids a story that related to it and helped out this little boy with the worksheets. There was a worksheet with a maze, and in the middle was Jesus. The boy I was helping just gave up. The little girl across from him just drew a line from the begining of the maze to Jesus, not understanding that you can't cross the lines. I thought was cute.
I'm kinda sad I didn't get to hear the Gospel, though. I knew it was about holding on and letting go, something I was really looking forward to hearing, something I probably needed to hear.
